My family uses rolled oats in a large mason jar. 3-4 tbsp of chia seeds (we like our overnight oats dense), 1.5 cups each of oats and milk, 1 cup of plain yogurt, and a dash of honey for 3 servings. 1.But they are a nutritional powerhouse and even mushy, I think oats are always good. For me, the choice is overnight vs my steel cut oats prepared exactly as I like them because I have lots of time in the morning. For people for whom the competition is overnight oats vs a scone from a drive through, way way better choice.They taste like a bunch of fakkkkeee flavors. Cheap cheap cheap oatmeal taste so much better. I can't provide reviews either, but they seem unnecessarily expensive. You can just buy oats, protein powder and cinnamon (or whatever flavours you want) and mix it together yourself to save a lot of money.A little bit late to the post- I eat overnight oats all the time. Make a batch that will last 3/4 meals. I use regular oats (store brand or quakers oats or w/e is available at your store). In a regular pot, I put 3 cups of oats, eyeball the amount of water needed, add about couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to reduce the phytic acid and ...Steel cut oats has a chewier texture and a heartier taste, so I tend to go light on the flavouring with it. Steel cuts is less processed and has less of a processed coating, which is why the cook time is longer. Rolled oats tends to work better for overnight oats and has less of a flavour, so I like to add more toppings.1 cup rolled oats 1 cup oatmilk (or other) 1/4 Greek yogurt 2 tablespoons chia seeds 1 tablespoon maple syrup. This makes 2 servings. I top with fruit/berries when serving. Blueberries or cherries are my fave! I've also used frozen berries, defrosting them overnight.
