Economic Outlook Seminar - Sioux Falls

The South Dakota Chamber's Economic Outlook Seminar has been set for Tuesday, November 8, 2011, 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The event will be held at the Starlite Room of the Holiday Inn City Centre, 100 W. 8th Street in downtown Sioux Falls.

The agenda includes Dr. Ralph Brown, USD professor emeritus and chief advisor to the Governor's Economic Advisory Council, speaking on South Dakota and local economic projections and Dr. Sidney Goss, Professor of Sociology, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, speaking on South Dakota demographics and the state's future workforce. The keynote luncheon speaker will be Narayana Kocherlakota, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Registration is $50 per person and includes a continental breakfast, refreshments, lunch and all handout materials. To register online, please click on Chamber News and select the 2011 Economic Outlook Registration from the drop down menu.

Fred Slunecka of Avera in Sioux Falls is the Founding Chairman for this program and stated "In this time of economic uncertainty, providing quality speakers on important topics fits the South Dakota Chamber's mission to serve its members, as well as the statewide business community." Slunecka is a part chair of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors.
