SD Chamber and Economic Development Council Winter Conference

The South Dakota Chamber and Economic Develpment Council (SDCEDC) will hold their annual winter conference in conjunction with the Governor's Budget Address on Tuesday, December 6 in Pierre.  The conference topic is Labor Availability and will feature presentations on the South Dakota Department of Education's SD My Life and My Life Network program; a dicussion of pre-legislative issues lead by South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry President David Owen; Making Diversity Work in Rural America - a panel discussion featuring Tim Jurgens, Director, Lutheran Social Services Refugee & Immigration Center, Sioux Falls; Terry Nebelsick, Superintetndent, Huron Public Schools; Smokey Hueston, Director of Human Resources, Dakota Provisions, Huron; and David Giovannini, General Manager, Molded Fiberglass, Aberdeen.  During lunch, Ann Gesick-Johnson, Workforce Development Coordinator, GOED will present on GOED's Certified Ready Site program.

The conference will conclude at 12:45 PM, allowing participants to attend Governor Daugaard's budget address at 1 PM at the Capitol.
