The South Dakota Chamber and Economic Development Council (SDCEDC) Annual Spring Conference is being held Wednesday, April 16, immediately following the close of the GOED Conference.  The meeting location is the Ramkota (Jefferson Room), 3200 W. Maple, Sioux Falls.  Registration fee is $40 for SDCEDC members and $60 for non-members. 

Our luncheon speaker will be Rick Melmer, EdD, Senior Education Advisor, Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO)/SD Board of Regents (SDBOR)/Mid Central Education Cooperative (MCEC) and former Secretary of Education during the Rounds Administration, speaking about a new South Dakota Leadership Program.  Following Melmer, the membership will hold a brief business meeting and then hear a special presentation by Jon Schallert, The Schallert Group, Inc., Longmont, Colorado, on “The New Rules of Business Success.”  For a community’s economic health to grow, its businesses must thrive.  Learn how every business, regardless of its size, must use the principles of a Destination to stand out in today’s world.  Learn more at www.jonschallert.com.
