2018 Giant Vision Competition Details
Hosted by the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Governor's Giant Vision Business Competition and Student Business Competition will be held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center 1201 N West Avenue in Sioux Falls on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Potential competitors submitted applications that included complete business plans, with financial projections, earlier this year. The first round of judges narrowed the fields to the top eight in each competition.
The qualifying participants will promote their ideas in a trade show type of environment in Exhibit Hall 1 at the Convention Center. The morning hours are reserved for the judges with the display area opening to the public at 1 PM.
Each competitor will present their business idea privately to a panel of judges. They will also have their elevator pitch recorded and the video of winners in both competitions will run during the evening awards presentation.
The Giant Vision Competition is held in conjunction with the annual Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) Conference. Conference information is available at
http://www.sdreadytopartner.com/conference.aspx
.
SD Chamber members who wish to attend the 5 PM Reception and 6 PM Banquet must register by 5 PM on April 5th. The fee is $45 per person. To register online, go to
https://apps.sd.gov/GE84ConfPay/Registration.aspx
Note: If you are registered for the GOED Conference, you are already registered for the reception and banquet.
